Today, we apply that operating experience, specialized expertise and technology to help independent physician practices identify revenue leakage, recover underpayments and turn reimbursement data into financial intelligence.
We understand your position because we have been in it. Our work is measured the way you measure your own practice: by the cash that actually reaches your account.
Our Story
We built this capability
to solve our own
problem.
Polarity (formerly known as RPMG) was founded in 2013 out of necessity for Houston Radiology Associates (HRA). Frustrated by a billing company that only pursued the easiest, highest-margin claims, Polarity was established with a clear mission: to comprehensively pursue all claims, maximizing insurance reimbursement while minimizing the financial burden on patients. For over a decade, this disciplined approach has delivered consistent, high-yield success for HRA and other Houston-based practices.
The landscape shifted fundamentally following the passage of the No Surprises Act in 2020. Major insurers sought dramatic reductions in physician reimbursement following the legislation, in some cases proposing cuts of up to 70% from longstanding contracted rates. When HRA was abruptly forced out-of-network by three major insurers in quick succession, Polarity engineered a proprietary Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) strategy to fight back. This tailored approach has yielded an all-time 98% win rate, with a 99% collection rate on those victories, ultimately giving HRA the necessary leverage to renegotiate fair, in-network contracts.
Beyond adapting to complex federal dispute rules, Polarity has actively shaped them. We proudly contributed to the landmark TMA IV legal challenge, a crucial victory that drastically reduced federal administrative filing fees and invalidated restrictive claim-batching rules for providers nationwide. Having mastered the complexities of out-of-network revenue recovery and federal arbitration from the inside out, Polarity is now expanding its mission to empower other medical groups with the same proven strategies and operational expertise needed to secure the reimbursement they deserve.
